Introducing Adrien Zinger, core developer and pizza lover.

Hi , tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, and what is your history?

Hi, I’m Adrien Zinger, I used to study in France informatic engineering stuff at Epita. I worked on several problems in my life, previously I worked in Italy where my job was basically reverse engineering old programs to speed up the team work. And before, I was on low level development in the medical environment, I was building an x-ray device for full body scans. I didn’t have crypto on my list! When I heard a possibility to work with Massa, I was very happy!

I love the technology here. I joined the core team with enthusiasm for that big project. I rarely speak English, I’m sorry if I make a lot of mistakes, ah ah ah.

When you were a kid, what did you want to grow up and be ? What were your dreams and aspirations ?

During my childhood, I was extremely focused on the present. I’m kipping that philosophy, I do what I like in a passionate way without thinking about what I’ll do tomorrow. Nevertheless, when I grew up, I wanted to be an artist, a student forever, or a karate champion ah ah ah.

This is a constant, I continue to draw, produce and learn. Even if I’m done with the karate, sport is a part of my life and I often go to swim.

How did you discover Massa Labs, and what got you interested?

Speaking with friends. A good friend who also was my colleague has given my contact to Damir and after some months I was in the team! The first time that I heard about the project, I was so excited, I love the P2P development, the language we use, the research environment. It was like a dream to find that job!

What is your current role in Massa, and what challenges do you face?

I’m core developer, I develop new features to pass from a testnet to a mainnet! When I arrived, I was focus on the smart contract runtime. Still now, I contribute to the project to allow multiple languages for the smart contracts.

I’m also orchestrating some feature developments. Sometimes, I study in background how to implement stuffs for the Massa project and realize little snippets to test different solutions. And sometimes, I work with an algorithm from Sebastien, Damir or Adrien LF and I help the team for the integration.

What do you like the most about Massa?

There is a particularly good mood in the team. It’s very important for me to feel comfortable with my colleagues. I already said that the technology we develop and use is amazing. The most important, is the liberty we have to study, learn and try. We’re always encouraged to look at other projects and try to contribute to these.

How do you see the Massa ecosystem 5 years from now ? What is Massa`s most interesting part ?

On the moon. Massa in a constant enhancement, for performances and features.

Setting Massa aside for a moment, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

I love to develop my own projects. I read informatic’s books, and I give a particular interest to computer sciences. Furthermore, I’m often implied to little projects / challenges with friends, almost everything is public on Github!

Behind my screen, I also paint and draw when I have the time under the pseudonym “adalrozin”. And for the sport side, I go to the beach to swim and meditate when the weather is favorable.

What are your goals in life?

I want to be good in all my activities. If anything give me difficulties, I want to master it, I don’t like the brute force solution to have a result without understanding it. At the end of my life, I hope to still be happy, in peace, with all my family, my friends and me.

What is your favorite food, favorite movie, and favorite rock song?

I’m a big fan of all kind of aperitif (pre-dinner) things. All around the world, when you have a tapas, a specialty that you eat around a drink, I’m a fan of that. Whatever it is, it can be potatoes, little snails, meat slices.

My favorite casual movie is probably “The Big Lebowski”, but, for French speakers, we all know that “Asterix & Obelix Mission Cleopatre” is the best film in the world. I used to listen to Rammstein when I was in high school. I was in a concert for “Liebe ist für alle da” so I would say “Ich tu dir weh”!

Anything you would like to say to the community?

Yes, don’t eat a pizza one week after buying it.
