Massa Masscot

Hi , tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from, and what is your history?

Hello, my name is Danil, 23 y.o. I’m from Russia, Moscow. I am still in my last year at the Financial University on financial risk management. My first job was at McDonald’s, in my first year of college. Now I work as an assistant to the financial department.

Since I am a financial student, many of us are interested in cryptocurrency, so my acquaintance began with banal trading. In the process of trading and learning, I met people who are in teams of already well-known projects, such as Solana, near and others. This is how I learned about nodes, testnets, and ambassador programs. And I’ve been doing this for a year now.

When you were a kid, what did you want to grow up and be? What were your dreams and aspirations ?

As a child, I always told my relatives that I would be president. I even have a photo from the 1st grade of the school as president. But over time, I lost this desire))) I also went in for swimming professionally, and naturally I aspired to win all competitions and get to the Olympics. I won many competitions, but a broken leg thwarted my plans for the Olympics))

How did you discover Massa Labs, and what got you interested?

My friend from Ukraine introduced me to the Massa Labs project. He is now a member of the Kyve network team. In fact, my acquaintance with nodes began with this project (you were the first whose node I installed). Then I began to study in principle what many projects do, as well as blockchain technologies and project differences. So Massa got me interested in its transaction throughput back then. In 21, it was 4 thousand transactions per second, now it’s like 10 thousand. Which is many times more than in ordinary financial and banking organizations, and even more so in Bitcoin. Plus your solution with building parallel blocks and solving the blockchain trilemma.

What is your current role in Massa, and what challenges do you expect to face?

Now i’m Masscot. However, I have been in the role of I’m Kesha for a long time))) But during the year I really tried to be useful to the project at least a little, especially helping newbies in chats (telling about the project, the team, their solutions, helping to install nodes, and more). I also wrote a short instruction on how to improve server performance for the Massa node on the Medium. And over the past 3 months, I came up with a small quiz for Russian chat and conducted it. But apparently the most useful thing was that I drew 10 NFTs robots following the example of the avatars of the official project team, which you really liked (I hope).

What do you like the most about Massa?

To be honest, as an ordinary user, I like that the Massa is not a overhyped project where crowds of people go in the hope of just making money, like in the same Aptos and Sui. There are already familiar people who also support this project from the very beginning. Here everyone creates something, invents and helps. For enthusiasts, this is very important. It is also easy to communicate with the team here and you can be sure that they will answer you, and your message will not be lost in a huge stream.

How do you see the Massa ecosystem 5 years from now ? What is Massa`s most interesting part ?

Hm, as i know that there are already some projects Who builds on Massa. So i’m sure that your Ecosystem will be really huge after mainnet and especially after 5 years. There will be many apps and dApps like markets, bridges, exchanges, p2p, p2e apps, NFTs market and constructor. Maybe Massa will be a solution for financial systems in France in cooperation with Mastercard, that would be cool.

Setting Massa aside for a moment, what do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

I spend my free time learning new skills. For a while I studied English (intermediate – Advanced). But in the last half of the year I have been actively studying programming in the Python language. (by the way, the idea to study programming appeared after Massa said that she was looking for developers in Rust, this is true). I also do boxing 1-2 times a week. By the way, recently I realized my dream and made a solo parachute jump.

What are your goals in life?

Be independent and self-sufficient.

What is your favorite food, favorite movie, and favorite rock song?

The food is lasagna. Movie – Limitless with Bradley Cooper and favorite song is Sleepwalking (Bring me the Horizon).

Anything you would like to say to the community?

Try to be active. Think about how you can be really useful for the project. Create, communicate, learn new skills, get to know each other. Everything will not come at once, but we must strive for this..
