Delete cache memory of your server

Having problems with cache memory of your server ??

Here is a quick “guide” how to optimize your server in case you have it on a vps or dedicated servers,Lynux.

The optimization that I am telling you is about how to release the space occupied by the cache that becomes the owner of our RAM memory and can affect our node.

In the attached photo you can see how the cache is occupying almost 60% of the total RAM memory.

First let’s install this traffic monitor called: bashtop

As root :

add-apt-repository ppa:bashtop-monitor/bashtop

apt update

apt install bashtop

Then typing bashtop opens the traffic monitor and we can see the cache among other informative things about our server.

Next we must write the second command to clear the cache:

sync; echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

Let’s reopen bashtop and you can see that the ram is freed. Good Luck !
